Neymar Jr., 33 years old, is a big fan of Batman. Recently, he acquired an exact replica of the DC Comics hero’s car for $1.5 million.

Despite being a stunning machine, the car — a perfect replica of the vehicle used by Batman in the 2005 film Batman Begins — is not street-legal.

It is functional and has an engine, but lacks a license plate, turn signals, and mirrors, and it also does not comply with other aspects of Brazilian traffic legislation.

Therefore, its use is only allowed on private property, such as the luxury housing complex where he lives in Santos, on the coast of São Paulo.

The Batmobile was developed by visual artist Adhemar Cabral, who took three years to build it. According to the portal UOL, Cabral is known for developing replicas of Formula 1 cars.

On his Instagram profile, the artist posted a video detailing the vehicle’s development process. According to him, most of the components were handmade, including custom suspension, a handcrafted fiberglass and steel body, and active aerodynamics.

“Challenge overcome. Immense satisfaction. We keep building dreams with passion. Many thanks to my entire team who make the dreams of enthusiasts come true!” celebrated Adhemar in the caption of the post.
